I think that this was one of if not the first videos I posted and with it I think I said that they were going to make it big. It looks like I will be right, they seem to be taking off for success. There is an official video but for some reason it wouldn't let me post. Enjoy.

Video of the Day

Field Report

Fergus Falls

I have been in the middle of a move so it took me a while to get a chance to post another video but I think you will enjoy this one. I just recently discovered this new band and I do believe that they are going to make it BIG. The singer of Field Report was actually in a band with the famous Justin Vernon (Bon Iver) and after their band broke up they both went on to new bands and as you should know Justin Vernon has made it big and I believe that once Field Report releases their first album this year they can be just as popular.

My take on the video: Girls jumps on the "YOLO" motto. Then after a while realizes how stupid and ridiculous it all is. Ha! Enjoy.

Tattoos in the work place...

I just want to take a quick minute to get my opinion to the few people that will even see this. The fact that by someone having a visible tattoo could cause them to lose or not be considered for a job is ridiculous. In my opinion. Tattoos are normally accepted in a business as long as they are not visible in work clothes but if someone were to have one on, lets say their hand or even forearm and wouldn't be able to roll up their sleeves just doesn't seem right to me. There are some tattoos that shouldn't be seen in a work environment but other than those I don't think that there should be a problem with them. I love tattoos but I plan on going into a business field and that will cause me to most likely have to keep my tattoos hidden. That kinda upsets me. Some view tattoos as 'trashy', I don't understand why. I recently read a blog where the author talked about tattoos and he associated them with lazy, lower class, rebellious and immature people. The author of that article was and is very mistaken when it comes to tattoos in my opinion, especially these days where tattoos have become very popular. I guess I just wanted to get my opinion on tattoos and how they can affect someone in their career path.

Iron & Wine

Kingdom of the Animals

This video isn't really a music video but the song is great. Not every video I post will be an actual music video but that isn't really what I am posting them for, it is the song that I want to get out there. I hope you enjoy this song and keep coming back at least for the video of the day.

First, Video of the Day!

Counting Crows

Mrs. Potters Lullaby

I figured I would start off this new thing with the one and the only, Counting Crows. Considering the fact that they are my favorite band and I also love this video. Check it out, it is worth every minute. Trust me!

Video of the day!

I will be starting something new, I plan on posting a video almost everyday. The videos will be of course, music. I think that everyone likes to watch music videos and by posting at least one video almost everyday it will hopefully show some readers new music or just allow them to watch a music video they already know and enjoy. I love watching music videos, it just seems to make the song seems to be...more fun.

Concerts I Have Attended

I attended my first Counting Crows concert in April of this year. They were on their Under Water Sunshine tour, it was in Minneapolis and it was a small venue. The band Mean Creek opened up for the Counting Crows and I really did like the songs that they played. Adam Duritz said that he actually had let that band stay with him in his house before. It wasn't a very long show but every minute of it was amazing. When they played Round Here it wasn't the regular version that you hear on the album and I love that. He puts so much emotion into every song and that is hard to find in music these days I think. If you ever get a chance to see these guys don't think twice, buy the tickets and you will not be disappointed. I am going to be seeing them again on their summer tour in Milwaukee, WI on July 25th. This was by far my favorite concert I have been to so far and can't wait to see them play again.

Other concerts that I have been to are pretty much just rock, I do enjoy rock music but when I went to these I was with my parents who listen mostly to rock music. I haven't really had many chances to see bands that I listen to but now that I can drive and have more freedoms I will most likely be, well... concert crazy.

Other concerts I have attended:

  • AC/DC
  • 3 Doors Down
  • Theory of a Deadman
  • Guns & Roses
  • Rockstar Supernova
  • Motley Crue
  • Pop Evil
Those are all of them, I think. Like I said, all rock. I like those bands but I would rather see music that I listen to for the most part.

Most Beautiful & Most Crazy Music Videos

Most Beautiful

Most Crazy

Fun.
Walking The Dog

These are just videos of the type of music I enjoy most, the possibility of there being more beautiful or crazy videos is easy but I like these two songs and I chose them.

Spotify!

If you love music just like I do then I would advise you to download the app Spotify. It is a free way to stream music, make playlists, and even discover some new music. You can use it free but every once and a while there are commercials but it is worth it in my opinion. If you do decide to get a membership there will be no commercials and you can listen to your playlists that you have downloaded off line. The app is my favorite for listening to music that I don't own and even sometimes I listen to stuff I have already on my iTunes. Download Spotify!http://www.spotify.com/us/

The Shins

I started listening to a band by the name of "The Shins", their music is worth taking the time to look up. I can't believe that I never listened to them before a little while ago. They have an interesting style that I appreciate in their music. Take the time to check them out.

Bands to check out

Here are some bands to check out, they aren't as popular as I believe they should be so give them a look and see what you think...

  • Filligar
  • Mean Creek
  • Tender Mercies
  • Margot and the Nuclear So & So's
  • Young the Giant
  • We Are Augustines
  • The Barr Brothers
  • Brad Byrd
  • Cold War Kids
  • The Head and the Heart
Check those bands out, they all have interesting styles but they make it work. Mean Creek opened up for the Counting Crows when I saw them in Minneapolis and they were very good and are a new band.
